ImagineLaw partners with Caloocan City to hold policy writeshop advancing alcohol harms prevention ordinance

ImagineLaw and the City Government of Caloocan successfully conducted the Policy Writeshop for the Model Ordinance on Alcohol Harms Prevention on July 28, 2026.

Supported by the Office of the Vice Mayor, representatives from the City Council collaborated to refine and discuss the proposed ordinance aimed at reducing alcohol-related harms in the city.

Participants also engaged in a series of policy co-design activities aiming to determine the feasibility and applicability of the ordinance within the local context, and identify the offices that would play key roles in its implementation and enforcement. The writeshop concluded with essential feedback and a discussion of the next steps toward finalizing the ordinance.

Through this initiative, ImagineLaw and the City Government of Caloocan strengthen their commitment to advancing evidence-based policies in the promotion of healthier and safer communities throughout the country.
