Marikina City teams up with ImagineLaw to strengthen commitments to healthy living
The Marikina City Health Office and its citywide Hypertension and Diabetes Club expressed their commitment to healthier living by supporting initiatives that reduce alcohol consumption, promote front-of-pack warning labels and marketing restrictions, and lessen sodium intake. These measures not only help prevent diet-related diseases but also build stronger community support for health and nutrition reforms.
Held on March 25, 2026, the meeting also featured interactive booths and exhibits from the Healthy Diet teams. Participants engaged with hands-on displays that revealed sodium levels in common Filipino dishes, highlighted nutrients of concern in popular snacks and drinks, and offered practical strategies to minimize alcohol-related risks.
By combining education, advocacy, and community participation, the meeting highlighted the importance of collective action in shaping healthier food environments. It also reinforced Marikina City’s role as a local champion for policies that protect public health and empower residents to make better choices for themselves and their families.
