ImagineLaw supports youth-led tobacco control efforts in the Visayas
ImagineLaw participated in the dissemination of the seventh round of the Global Youth Tobacco Survey Visayas leg, supporting efforts to strengthen youth engagement in tobacco control and highlight the importance of evidence-based policies to protect young people from tobacco and nicotine products.
During the activity, ImagineLaw also aligned with the Cebu youth focal Luegi Vincent Mancao on the upcoming Tobacco Advertising, Promotion, and Sponsorship (TAPS) monitoring project of the Philippine Youth Development Network (PYDN). This project aims to mobilize youth volunteers and champions as watchdogs against tobacco industry marketing.
ImagineLaw will support PYDN by providing resources on Cebu’s TAPS policy landscape, conducting a training-of-trainers for youth leaders who will facilitate regional trainings, and technically reviewing the TAPS training modules and education campaign plan. Through these efforts, ImagineLaw aims to equip young people with the knowledge and skills to monitor tobacco marketing, turn data into policy action, and advocate for stronger tobacco control measures.
