RISE v. Tobacco sub-grantee in Papua New Guinea announced

ImagineLaw flew to Papua New Guinea to formally welcome the Bougainville Diabetes Association (BDA) as a sub-grantee under the RISE v. Tobacco project and signed a Memorandum of Understanding, marking a new partnership to advance tobacco control in the country.

Through RISE v. Tobacco, BDA will receive support to strengthen its tobacco control efforts and contribute to protecting communities from the harms of tobacco and nicotine products.

RISE v. Tobacco is a regional initiative that seeks to strengthen tobacco control in Asia and the Pacific by providing financial, technical, and legal support to governments, civil society organizations, and communities. By supporting local partners and fostering collaboration, the project aims to build momentum for evidence-based tobacco control measures and accelerate efforts to reduce tobacco use and its health, social, and economic impacts throughout the region.
